End of the pool terrace

Iguaval Casino

The casino is the pavilion at the end of the terrace

Iguaval Casino stands at the far end of the pool terrace, under the same roofline as the rest of the building. It belongs to this hotel and is run by it, and you reach it from inside.

From reception you walk past the dining room and along the pool, about ninety paces and all of it under cover, which counts for a lot in a Misiones storm. Someone is on that door every hour the room is open.

The room

Nine tables under a timber roof

The casino floor has nine tables and a bar along the garden wall. On a Wednesday in May four are open. In the week after Christmas all nine are, and the door is counted because the pavilion only holds so many.

The casino roof is the original 2011 structure, open to the trusses, with fans instead of air conditioning and shutters on three sides. The room plays no music. On a wet night the rain on that roof is the loudest thing in the building, and regulars count it as the best part.

The casino asks for a shirt and shoes. Swimwear and bare feet don't get in, and we say so because the pool is forty metres away and people do try.

Age and document

18, checked at the door every visit

Misiones sets the casino age at 18 and the house applies it to everyone. The document is checked on every visit, so a guest who had dinner in the same building an hour earlier still shows it again.

Accepted documents are a DNI, a passport, or a national identity document from another country that shows a date of birth. A photograph of one on a telephone doesn't count.

No one under 18 enters the casino at any hour, even when it is closed and being swept.

Limits and stopping

Agreed with a person, written down

Limits are set on the casino floor with the staff working it. Tell them your figure before you sit down and it's written up and held to for the evening, or ask them to suggest one.

Stopping your visits to the casino is arranged in person at reception. It can't be done in the pavilion or by telephone. Self-exclusion is signed at the desk and takes effect the same evening, and it is lifted only when you return to that desk in person.

The casino floor gives no credit of any kind, and the hotel has no cash machine, whether in the pavilion, on the terrace or anywhere inside the gate.

This website offers no gaming

Nothing is played, bet or paid on this website

This is a land-based casino inside a hotel in Misiones. The site describes the pavilion and the lodge around it, and it runs no games, takes no stakes, opens no accounts and moves no money.

To play, you come to Avenida Tres Fronteras, show a document at the pavilion door and sit down at a table. That is the only way in, and none of it happens on this page.
